You will need…
- 8 cups of water
- 8 medium mint leaves
- 2 tea bags (ginger peach) – I used President’s Choice bagged tea
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or your favourite natural sweetener
Prepare the steeped tea…
I steeped my leaves on the stove in a pot but you can choose your favourite method. Bring the water to a boil and hold for 1 minute. Add in the leaves and turn off the heat, but leave the pot on the stove. Steep for 10 minutes (longer if you want a stronger brew). After 10 minutes, remove the tea from the stove, and mix in the lemon juice and maple syrup. Allow the tea to cool completely and serve over ice.
Makes 6-8 servings.
